Story
Operational since 1999, Glann ar Mor Distillery, located on the North Coast of Brittany, France, bottled its first unpeated single malt (Glann ar Mor) in late 2005, and its first peated single malt (Kornog, "West Wind" in Breton, about 30-35 ppm of phenol) in November 2009. The distillery is located on the seafront (Glann ar Mor means "At the edge of the sea" in Breton).
Glann ar Mor distillery stands out for traditional artisan production with wooden washtubs, worm tubs and "100% Live Flame".
Kornog was voted « European Whisky of the Year » in Jim Murray's « Whisky Bible 2016 ».
This Single Malt was aged in a Bourbon barrel and was bottled at 46%.

Very gentle earthy smoke, black tea, vanilla & barley sugar.
Taste
Rich silky body, the slight peat is sweetened and perfectly balanced by delicate fruity notes and a hint of menthol & white pepper in the back.
Finish
Medium with peppery notes and slight herbal bitterness.
